　この曲ももともとはカントリーの曲です。これを機にカントリーという音楽ジャンルにちょっと耳を傾けてみてはいかがでしょうか？

　ウィリー・ネルソンって知ってますか？
アウトロー・カントリーの代表みたいな方ですが、彼の歌声はほんと、しびれます。

　そんなウィリーも70歳を超えてるんですが、現役。スゴっ！
　最近では、映画「ブロークバック・マウンテン」でも歌っているみたいですね。（まだ見てません。）

　彼がどれだけ本場アメリカで評価されているかというのは、彼の70歳の誕生日に催されたライブイベントをみれば、その豪華ゲストの顔ぶれで分かることでしょう。「ウィリー・ネルソンと素敵な仲間たち」というタイトルでDVDも発売されています。
　なんだかムツゴロウさんみたいです。。。

　ちなみに気になるゲストはというと、レイチャールズ、エリック・クラプトン、エアロスミスのスティーブン・タイラーなどなど。ね。スゴイでしょ？

　そんな彼の曲は一体何曲あるんだろう？とてもじゃないけど数え切れませんが、そんな中で私の好きな曲はこれ！

「ちょいワルおやじ」のCountry Music

　日本では意外とCountry Musicという音楽ジャンルは縁遠い存在ですね。

これまでにCountry Musicを意識して聞いたことがありますか？
日本国内でもテレビコマーシャルのBGMやドラマにも使われていたりするんですが、カントリーだと意識していない人は結構多いものです。

　カントリーの歴史は永く、ルーツを辿りはじめるとアメリカ音楽の原点であり、かつ今日の様々な音楽ジャンルに多大な影響を与えてきたことを知ることになります。

　そんなカントリーですが、決して昔の音楽ではなく、その時代の表現法（ブルース、ジャズ、ロック、ポップスなど）を巧みに自らのジャンルに取込み、今でも成長し続けているという他の音楽ジャンルにはない、ある特殊な性格を持った音楽ジャンルといえます。

　よく、カントリーは日本でいうところの「演歌」だという人がいますが、様々な音楽表現を巧みに取込むあたりは、とても演歌と同じとは言い難いんではないでしょうか。

　「カントリー=演歌」という定義づけをしている人の大半は、ちゃんとカントリーを聞いたことが無い人ですね。これは断言できます。（笑）

ビートルズ来日40周年

　6月29日はなんと私の誕生日です。おめでとう！！ありがとうぉ♪

で、この日はというと、40年前にビートルズが来日した日らしいですね。私はまだ生まれてませんでしたが。。。。

　しかし、ビートルズは私も大好きです。
以前、アーモンドグリーンのMINIに乗っていたときは、ほとんどBGMがビートルズでした♪
　ビートルズの曲はほんと良い曲がたっくさんありますよね。中でもやっぱり私はこの曲が大好きです。

ビートルズ最盛の頃といえば、ベトナム戦争でしたね。いつまで経っても戦争がない時代が実現できませんが、この曲は世界に平和を訴える事に成功しました。

イギリスでは、天気の話題が欠かせないんですね！

宮崎の今年の梅雨はどうもおかしな天気が続いています。
突然の雨かと思えば、灼熱の太陽だったり、かと思えばまたどんより曇ったりと。。。

LOVE ME TENDER (Elvis Presley)

小泉首相はブッシュ大統領同様エルビス・プレスリーが好きなんですね。
ニュースで、両者が共にエルビスの曲を聞いているシーンが映ってました。
その後、小泉首相は英語でインタビューに答え、最後にこの曲のタイトルでインタビュアーに軽い笑みをもたらしていましたね。

　エルビスプレスリーの代表曲ですねぇ。
エルビスは、説明するまでもなくスゴい人です。タレントとしても、歌手としてもそして一人の人としても素晴らしいキャラクターでした。
　若くして病に倒れましたが、薬の副作用に苦しまされながらも、最後の最後まで歌い続けていた彼の生き様はまさに「エンターテインメントの神」といえますね。

　小泉首相がインタビュアーに発言した曲は、「ラブ・ミー・テンダー」でした。

　エルビスは、私もリアルタイムではないので、知らないうちはどうも「安岡力○」のようなイメージがあったのですが、いろんな曲を聴いたり、DVDを見ていると、それまでのイメージとはまるで違ったことに驚いたとともに、すっごいファンになってしまいました。
　エルビスはロックの王様ですが、ロックだけを歌っていたわけでもありません、ゴスペルやカントリーなど他のジャンルの曲もたくさん歌っているんですね。
　だからこそ、様々なジャンルの方々に友好があり、あの時代に多大に影響を与えたのも頷けるというものです。
　エルビス・プレスリーを改めて聞き直してみるのもいいもんですよ♪ちなみにこれを書いているときのBGMはこのアルバムだったりします♪
